Abstract

The records contain correspondence; program plans and proposals; medical records and statistics; budgets and other financial records; staff rosters; miscellaneous religious publications; newspaper clippings; brochures, and other publications describing the work of All Nations; annual reports; committee reports, agendas, and minutes; and staff reports on activities. This collection encompasses the years 1925-1978, with the bulk of the material dating frmo the decade of the 1930s.

Abstract

The Association of Trojan League records consists of meeting materials (agendas, reports, etc.), scholarship information, and President's reports, documenting the history and activities of the Association. The Association of Trojan Leagues was the umbrella organization for the seven alumnae Trojan Leagues throughout Southern California. The ATL was disbanded in 2018 following a reorganization of USC's alumnae organizations.

Abstract

This small collection documents some of the activities and history of the Jewish Family Service of Los Angeles. Included are minutes from meetings of the Committee on Aging during the 1960s, when the Freda Mohr Center for the elderly was opened; a notebook describing the history, activities, programs, and administrative functions of the agency; and a dissertation from USC's School of Social Work that examines the history of the agency.

Abstract The Neighborhood Youth Association began as charitable organization under the aegis of the Episcopal Church in 1914. Using a settlement house approach, the Association's oiginal goal was to acculturate immigrants to Los Angeles' West side neighborhoods to American culture and values. This collection contains the records of Town and Gown of the University of Southern California, a non-profit organization begun in 1904 as the Women's Club of USC, which raises money for scholarships, campus projects, and cultural programs. Much of the collection centers on the planning and work needed produce Town and Gown benefit events, most notably the annual luncheon and fashion show.

Abstract USC's Black Alumni Association was begun in 1976 by Dr. Thomas Kilgore, although in its early years it was known as the Ebonics Support Group. In addition to having a voice for the Black community at USC, the original mission of Ebonics was to give merit scholarships, based on need, to minority students--Black as well as Latino and Asian-American--since no alumni groups existed for those communities.
